About The Pampered Paw

Our mission

The Pampered Paw exists for one reason: pet owners deserve product reviews written by people who actually use the products on real animals. Most "best of" pet content online is affiliate-first, written by writers who have never held the brush they're recommending. We do the opposite.

How we test

Every product we recommend goes through a minimum 30-day hands-on testing period in our grooming studio. We use it on multiple pets, across multiple coat types where relevant, and we photograph the results. If a product fails our criteria, we either don't publish or we publish a critical review explaining why.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews. We do not allow brands to preview or approve content before publication. When we link to a product, any affiliate relationship is disclosed at the top of the article. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial relationships.

Who we are

The site is led by Dr. Elena Marsh, a Certified Master Groomer and former Registered Veterinary Technician with over 14 years of professional experience. All health-adjacent content is reviewed by a licensed veterinary professional before publication.
